Beef Tenderloin

An all-time classic and crowd-pleaser, this recipe will make your guests swoon. Tender, juicy meat, seasoned lightly and served with a delicious, imaginative herb butter. With this meal, you cannot go wrong.

Serves 2

3/4-1 pound beef tenderloin, whole
2 tablespoons herb butter
salt and pepper

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Season tenderloin on both sides with salt and pepper.

Melt butter in a skillet. Add the tenderloin and sear quickly on all sides -- the crust should be a medium brown.

Transfer tenderloin to an oven-safe dish. Cook for about 20-25 minutes or until done to your specifications. Ideally, meat should be about medium-rare.
