Pecan Pie

It's so easy, you'll never buy a pecan pie again.

3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 - 1 3/4 cups pecan halves
1 (9-inch) homemade or store-bought unbaked deep-dish pie crust

Preheat oven to 350°. Lightly beat eggs. Add sugar, corn syrup, margarine and vanilla; stir until blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie crust.

Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool on wire rack.

Tips:

You can use the same recipe to make pecan bars. Instead of making a round crust, trim to fit a square cake pan. Line the bottom only and proceed as usual. Cool and cut into bars.
