Poppy seeds are harvested the poppy flower. Although grown
in many countries, Holland is known for producing the highest
quality seeds, which are blue. The tiny seeds are also available
in black, brown and beige.
Poppy seeds have a nutty flavor when cooked, and are often
in pastry fillings, salad dressing and to top of pastries.
Poppy seeds can spoil very quickly, so do not store for more
than a few weeks. Keep them in an airtight container and store
