A. Mano Primitivo ($11)

This is a southern Italian version of Zinfandel that explodes with jammy, spicy red berry fruit and soft acidity. It's perfect with anything off the grill.

L. Palasi Brut ($9)

This is a wonderful sparkling wine from southern France sporting a delicate acidity, hints of citrus fruit and apples.

Colosi ($10)

We consider this one of Sicily's best new wines. It's medium-bodied with ripe, bright cherry notes mingled with hints of mild dried herbs.

Barossa Nova Shiraz ($11)

This lively Shiraz boasts loads of raspberry and vanilla flavors. The velvety finish lingers and lingers.

Weingut Pfeffigen "Pheffo" ($16)

This is a perfect example of a balanced Riesling. It shows delicate acidity laced with slight sweetness. It has flavors of apricot, lemon, and a mild mineral character.

Hahn Chardonnay ($10)

Monterey chardonnays are famous for low acidity and lush tropical fruits, and this one is no exception. It has the complexities of wines twice the price.

Kenwood "Lodi" Zinfandel ($11)

This zin explodes out of the glass with intense blackberry and spicy raspberry flavors. It's truly a fun wine to drink.

Pierre Jean Merlot ($6)

This is a southern French merlot with a soft, light mouth feel and subtle flavors of young berry fruits. It is unoaked so it allows the pure flavors to shine through.

(And at $6, it's a great choice if you're throwing a party on a budget.)

Pierre Jean Sauvignon Blanc ($6)

This unoaked white has racy acidity, distinct lime notes and a slight grassiness that is typical of this variety.

(Again, at $6 a bottle, a good party stocker.)

Gruet Blanc de Noirs ($12)

This is a great sparkling from New Mexico. It's rich, toasty and full of ripe pear and apple flavors.

Domaine Janasse Cotes Du Rhone ($10)

This is terrific Rhone wine loaded with dark cherry flavors and peppery nuances.

Roodeberg Red Blend ($9)

This South African blend is layered with cassis and red currant flavors mingled with a mild toastiness and subtle tannins.
